Pic 008 - Heidi Blair Montag

Ok so with this latest post, I thought it was about time to introduce a bombshell to the list. Meet Heidi Blair Pratt (Heidi Blair Montag; born September 15, 1986) Heidi is an American media personality, singer and "celebutante". She came to prominence with her starring role on the MTV reality series The Hills (now what else would you call them it) from 2006 to 2010. The majority of the episodes followed the life of her former friend and housemate Lauren Conrad.

The series' second season saw Montag date fellow cast member Spencer Pratt. In November 2008, the couple eloped to Mexico, though later got married in the United States in April 2009. In July 2010, Montag filed for divorce after fifteen months of marriage to Pratt, but later called off the divorce. Now that is a whirlwind year and a half!

Montag began working on her first studio album, Superficial, in 2007. It was released in January 2010. No sense rushing the release. Good things take time you know.

Jennifer Hawkings - Pic 006 of 500

With this post, I am back to the Jennifer theme again. Miss Universe 2004. Nuff said.

{From Wikipedia} After being selected to represent Australia in the internationally televised Miss Universe 2004, Hawkins sought advice from previous titleholder Ashlea Talbot, and learned basic Spanish prior to travelling to Ecuador.

The Miss Universe pageant was held in Quito, Ecuador on 1 June 2004. A week prior to the event, Hawkins was ranked sixth favourite to win the crown. During the final competition, Hawkins became the first Australian to make the semi-finals since Voni Delfos in 1993. She then proceeded to the top ten after competing in the evening gown competition, where she wore an unusual vintage copper gown that was designed by Bora and cost A$25,000. After the swimsuit competition, Hawkins advanced to the top five, and eventually won the Miss Universe title.

The remaining top five were all delegates from the Americas and Caribbean, including Shandi Finnessey of the USA (1st runner-up), Alba Reyes of Puerto Rico (2nd runner-up), Yanina Gonzalez of Paraguay (3rd runner-up) and Danielle Jones of Trinidad and Tobago (4th runner-up). Hawkins was the first winner from Oceania since Lorraine Downes of New Zealand held the title in 1983, and the first Australian since Kerry Anne Wells in 1972.

Hawkins was crowned by outgoing titleholder Amelia Vega from the Dominican Republic, after famously being announced by host Billy Bush as the "thunder from down under". Pageant co-owner Donald Trump described Hawkins as "the most beautiful Miss Universe I have seen in many, many years".

Hawkins received an elaborate Mikimoto pearl encrusted crown, worth $250,000 as well as an extensive prize package. Hawkins was the first blonde haired woman to win the title since Angela Visser of the Netherlands in 1989.

As Miss Universe, Hawkins represented the Miss Universe Organization. Her "sister" 2004 titleholders were Shelley Hennig (Miss Teen USA, of Louisiana) and Shandi Finnessey (Miss USA, of Missouri). During her reign, Hawkins travelled to Korea, The Bahamas, Brazil, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Singapore, Indonesia, Canada, Trinidad and Tobago, Cuba, India, Ecuador, Mexico, Puerto Rico, had multiple trips to Thailand, the host of Miss Universe 2005, and her home country of Australia. As part of her year-long reign as Miss Universe, she resided in New York City in a riverside apartment provided by the Miss Universe Organization. Also during her reign as Miss Universe, Hawkins stated that her wish was to continue modelling and become a television presenter.

Shortly after being crowned Miss Universe in 2004, Hawkins created news during a fashion show at Westfield Miranda, an Australian shopping centre, when she tripped on the hem of her dress, which fell to the floor. Hawkins was left scantily clad in her red g-string in front of a surprised crowd. Hawkins later apologized, laughingly adding she "wished she wore better underwear". The incident received the dubious distinction of being named "The most embarrassing moment ever shown on Australian television" by Australia's Nine Network. The "Wardrobe malfunction" was widely circulated through news outlets and according to Google, caused a sharp increase in internet searches for "Jennifer Hawkins".

Hawkins served as a judge for the Miss Universe 2008 finals in Vietnam.

Bar Refaeli - Pic 005 of 500

I just could not resist this selection. You just gotta love a girl named Bar! All sorts of fun jokes come to mind but better leave this alone. For now, I'll just raise a toast to Leonardo DiCaprio... Cheers buddy! I have a whole new respect for you.

Bar Refaeli (Hebrew: בר רפאלי‎, born 4 June 1985) is an Israeli model and occasional actress, most known for her modelling work and for her relationship with American actor Leonardo DiCaprio. She was the cover model of the 2009 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

Bar modeling some Passionata brand bikinis. This project is getting better all the time!

According to Wikipedia, Refaeli began her modeling career before the age of 8 months for a baby commercial. By age 15, she was featured in campaigns for the fashion brands Castro and Pilpel, also starring in a commercial for Milky. Refaeli won the title "Model of The Year" in an Israeli beauty contest in 2000.

Refaeli has appeared in ELLE (France), Maxim, and GQ (Italy). She debuted in the 2007 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, becoming the first Israeli model to appear in the magazine, posing with rock band Aerosmith. In 2009, Refaeli was the covermodel for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. A photo from the shoot, featuring a bikini-clad Refaeli, was painted on the side of a Boeing 737 in a promotional deal with Southwest Airlines, leading to criticism of Southwest from passengers for using an image they regarded as inappropriately sexual and "offensive to families" In October of the same year, Refaeli was again embroiled in controversy, when Haredi groups criticised a Tel Aviv billboard campaign in which she appeared semi-nude, alleging that it could "poison" the public. The billboards were subsequently removed.

She has modeled for Subaru, Accessorize, Brazilian clothing line Besni, Italian jewelry line Marco Bicego, and Rampage. In 2009, she modeled for Garnier International.

On 5 March 2009, Refaeli received the "World Style Award," presented by the Women's World Awards, for her "natural elegance, sense of style and compassion." In October of the same year, Refaeli co-hosted Fashionable Istanbul's press conference announcing their October 2009 fashion event, also appearing in its advertising. Refaeli was voted #57 in 2010 and #42 in 2008 in the FHM hottest women women list.

Jennifer Marie Morrison - Pic 004 of 500

My next candidate is also a Jennifer... Jennifer Marie Morrison.

This Jennifer (From Wikipedia) was born April 12, 1979, is an American actress, model and film producer. She is best known for her role as Dr. Allison Cameron in House {how come my doctor does not look like that!?!?} and also as Zoey Pierson in the sixth season of How I Met Your Mother.

Morrison started her career as a child model, appearing in print advertisements for JCPenney and Montgomery Ward and commercials for Rice Krispies and Mondo. In May 1992, she was featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated for Kids with basketball star Michael Jordan.[2]

She made her film debut at the age of fifteen as the daughter of Richard Gere and Sharon Stone in the 1994 film, Intersection, and later appeared as Samantha in Stir of Echoes with Kevin Bacon in 1999. Her first leading role came in the 2000 film Urban Legends: Final Cut, and she has since gone on to appear in films including Grind with Adam Brody, Surviving Christmas with Ben Affleck and James Gandolfini, and Mr. & Mrs. Smith with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in 2003, 2004 and 2005, respectively.

On television, she has worked on several hit shows including Touched by an Angel and Dawson's Creek before landing the role of immunologist Dr. Allison Cameron on House in 2004 co-starring alongside Hugh Laurie. In 2006, she starred in and produced the independent film Flourish. Morrison is also one of the producers that found Glee during its early draft and brought it to attention of writer Ryan Murphy, who with Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan, adapted it into a television series. Morrison did not stay involved creatively, but is credited as an associated producer on the first season for her involvement in finding it and helping it get into the right hands.

Jennifer Flavin Stallone - Pic 003 of 500

Ok... so I figured what better way to illustrate my point that I could find 500 better looking women than Jennifer Lopez, than to post some better looking "Jennifers"!  My candidate for this post is Jennifer Flavin.

After being informed that she made this list, Jennifer pumped her fist in the air and yelled: "Yo, Rocky!  I made the list!"

A more beautiful woman never lived. Pic 002 of 500

Celina Jemio Fossati
For my second post, I have decided to share an image of my grandmother. She was 90 years old in this picture and died a year later in 2008.  She lead what many would easily say was a great life.  Born in 1917 in a remote village in Bolivia South America.  She married young to a man who said he wanted a large family.  She gave him 5 kids.

This core of 7 grew to over 60.  These 60+ are my family and I would do anything for them. She and my grandfather who died in 1994 lead an extraordinary life.  From humble beginnings, they rose in politics, banking, industry.  They built a hotel, he ran for national office, ran the national bank.  Together they toured Europe on a year long honeymoon... and later in life met the Kennedy’s; he at a banking conference; she for afternoon tea.

One of the last things she told me on my next to last visit with her was "When I die, do not feel too sad for too long.  I have lived a long and happy life.  I caused no one any harm and I am not afraid to die."    Now THAT is beautiful!

Let's Start - Pic 001 of 500

As many of you may have surmised, I have decided that my lovely wife of nearly ten years should grace the opening post of this project... so here we go...

Debbie Oropeza

Why start this?

OK... as some of you may have heard, Jennifer Lopez was anointed as "The Most Beautiful Woman in the World" recently by People Magazine. I have since bet my wife that I could find 500 better looking women and have decided that a blog of my nominees was in order. Now that I mention it, I actually can not call it a bet at all... as there were no win/loss terms defined. Nothing I had to do or say or pay if I failed in my mission. So, let's just call it a challenge instead of a bet.

Now, don't get me wrong... J-Lo is not unattractive by any means or measure. My sole purpose in this exercise is to highlight the fact that any such title is doomed from the start. As a case in point, what happened to last years 1st place woman? Did she get uglier? Did J-Lo get so much better looking since last year when she did not even get mentioned?

What follows is not a ranked list... it is purely a stream of ladies who, in my humble opinion, are more beautiful than Jennifer Lopez.

With all this in mind, I undertake this perilous journey with great humility and the same sense of exploration that Magellan must have felt when he started his quest to find new lands and explore the unknown.

As I told my son recently, this is just my little contribution to the advancement of mankind. I hope that it is well received.

So, with out further fanfare, I present my first post.
